Free Realms Goes Multilingual!

Do you speak French, German, or one of many other non-English languages and want to play Free Realms?  Well, if so, you’re in luck, as Sony’s just announced that the servers are going multilingual.

The ever-popular browser based MMO, Free Realms, was released back in April of this year and is developed by Sony Online Entertainment, creators of Everquest, Planetside, and DC Universe Online. The game is based in a enchanted fantasy world designed to be appealing and safe for younger gamers not quite ready to journey about in the World of Warcraft.

Andy Sites, a senior producer at SOE has been quoted as saying: “We constantly strive to lower the barrier to entry for gamers, and localized language support is another example of that. Now, gamers of all ages and regions can play together in any of the supported languages and enjoy the fully-localized voice over audio, in–game art, on-screen and web site content with ease.”

All existing and new members to Free Realms can now play in any of the languages that are now supported by the servers.  Certainly a good move by Sony, especially considering how fast the game is growing.  For more information, hit the link and see what’s going on.
