Drac is Back in the new Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Trailer
Back at E3, Konami made a surprise announcement; not only would the next Castlevania game be developed by a Spanish studio, it would also feature assistance from Hideo Kojima himself. At GC2009, they brought a new trailer.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is being touted as a “rebirth” of the Castlevania franchise, featuring an open-world take on the action horror genre. Featuring a star-studded cast including Trainspotting‘s Robert Carlyle, The Truman Show‘s Natasha McElhone, Harry Potter‘s Jason Isaacs, and the man himself, Patrick Stewart, Konami and developers MercurySteam aim to bring the Castlevania series back to consoles in a big way. This morning, at Gamescom 2009, Konami unleashed a new trailer for their reinvention of the classic franchise. I won’t say too much, but this trailer should at least alleviate a few of the fears that hardcore Castlevania fans might have had about the title. Just give it a watch.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow will be hitting the PS3 and XBOX 360 next year.
