New Demon’s Souls Screenshots Hack and Slash the Imagination
As the launch of Atlus’ “Stop Importing It!” edition of Demon’s Souls draws ever closer, the tenacious publisher of all things quirky and Japanese has released a slew of new screenshots to promote the game. Click on to give them a look.
As these screenshots quite aptly demonstrate, Demon’s Souls features a wide variety of environments in which a driven gamer can hack, slash, stab, and magic his way to victory through all manner of hellish creatures. Each of the game’s six explorable environments makes an appearance in this set of screenshots, showing off a number of the game’s countless pieces of equipment, which includes now-classic swords and shields, maces, spears, and even the occasional katana.
Demon’s Souls launches on the PS3 October 6th of this year, shipping in both a normal edition and an Atlus-spoiled Limited Edition featuring an exclusive strategy guide and special packaging based off of the original Japanese box art; also notable, all preorders of the game will receive a copy of the soundtrack and an art book. For RPG-starved PS3 owners, Demon’s Souls is likely to be just what the doctor ordered for a Final Fantasy-free holiday season.
