Washed Up Musician Slates Rhythm Gaming, Gamers, Everyone.

Former Rolling Stone guitarist Bill Wyman claims that rhythm gaming is ensuring people are less dedicated to learning to play actual instruments. Correct? Wrong? Blah, blah, blah, blah, BLAH!
The former Stones guiatist told BBC News that “It makes less and less people dedicated to really get down and learn an instrument. I think it’s a pity so I’m not really keen on that kind of stuff.”
But its not just whingy old Wyman who is starting the anti-Rock Band and Guitar Hero revolution as Pink Floyds Nick Mason was quoted saying:
“It irritates me having watched my kids do it, if they spent as much time practising the guitar as learning how to press the buttons they’d be damn good by now.”
But when Mason was asked if he would like to see some of Floyds songs on either Rock Band or Guitar Hero he replied “I think we’d consider it. I think everyone’s looking at new ways of selling the music because the business of selling records has almost disappeared.”
Is it a coincidence that this has come out of the blue on the eve of the Beatles Rock Band release? Probably not, in my opinion its just some old guy complaining because they can’t get the timing right on ‘Paint It Black’ on Guitar Hero 3.
