Its Been A Hard Day’s Night, But The Beatles:Rock Band Has Finally Landed

The fab four release their video gaming debut today with The Beatles: Rock Band. Excited?

Then how about you watch this compilation of interesting videos relating to The Beatles and Rock Band. Done watching? Then read on!

Are, or were, you a fan of The Beatles?  Or maybe you are just so addicted to music and rhythm gaming that you must have the next big release, otherwise you may just go crazy and smash up your plastic guitar.  Well don’t fear as The Beatles Rock Band launches today for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii consoles across the world.

For you hardcore Beatles fans out there the awesome people at Harmonix have created some pretty cool Beatles themed peripherals for the game to coincide with the its release.  Now that the game is out you can buy the limited edition The Beatles:Rock Band bundle which includes:

  • The Beatles Rock Band Game.
  • A bass shaped controller which is a scaled replica of McCartneys Höfner bass guitar.
  • Beatles-inspired and Ludwig-branded Rock Band 2 drum set with classic pearl finish, and vintage replica Beatles kick drum head for all you Ringo Star wannabes out there.
  • A microphone with included stand

So if you want to be the next plastic peripheral Beatles tribute act that my dear reader is the bundle you want to get your hands on.

But wait, there is indeed more to learn here.  If you really have the cash and want to go all out on this game there are some peripherals which are sold separately to get your mitts on too.  These lovely plastic instruments are:

  • A guitar controller which is a scaled down replica of George Harrison’s signature Gretsch Duo Jet.
  • Another guitar controller based on John Lennon’s signature Rickenbacker 325.

There is absolutely loads of Beatles signature stuff to get along with the game, so if you feel like splashing some cash and getting everything out there for it, I suggest you do.  I mean think about it, if you wanna do something you gotta do it right yeah?

Having a quick look round the Intershops I can tell you that the standard price for the whole band bundle is £179.99, and whilst the other peripherals are going for £89.99 each at HMV.com, they’re only £84.99 at Play.com and Amazon.co.uk.

If you happen to be totally peripheral-less and really want this game, then if you head over to HMV.com and Amazon.co.uk where you can get hold of a Beatles Rock Band value pack which includes:

  • The game
  • Original Rock Band Fender Stratocaster Guitar
  • Original Rock Band drum Kit

HMV.com are selling this neat little bundle for £109.99, but Amazon on the other hand are being really nice and offering the value bundle for £99.99.

Oh and by the way if you have recently just won the lottery and really want every single Beatles related gaming thing in existence.  I suggest you click the link at the bottom of the page.  It will take you to a one off auction on eBay for the only Beatles themed Xbox 360 ever made.  But as I say unless you want to take another mortgage on your house bidding on this then it’s probably best you don’t rush in wallets a-blazing.  You’ve got until September 17th to try and nab this once in a blue moon treasure from collectors everywhere.

So if you have the cash and really love the Liverpudlian Fab Four then I suggest you get the game, and all the Beatles signature peripherals, and rock out!
