Halo 3: ODST Original Soundtrack Drops
To coincide with the release of Halo 3: ODST, ‘Sumthing Else Music Works’ have announced the release of the games soundtrack.
If you’re like me and love the soundtracks released thus far to the Halo franchise, then you’re going to want to get your hands on the Halo 3: ODST soundtrack when it launches on the 22nd of September. Which, believe it or not, is the same day the game comes out. How convenient.
The games soundtrack is composed by the team of Martin O’Donnell, and old hand Michael Salvatori. When asked about making the games soundtrack, O’Donnell as quoted saying: “The music reflects the new mood, new heroes, and new story of the game. I worked with the Northwest Sinfonia for the orchestral recordings and also added some nice alto sax solos and some new guitar solos. The piano sneaks back in again a few times too, but I can’t seem to help that.”
Halo 3: ODST looks at the Halo universe in a different light, instead of playing the Spartan Master Chief, you are instead controlling an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper, or ODST. As you search for clues in New Mombasa for the whereabouts of your scattered squad-mates in a city infested with Covenant forces you can be assured it will be a struggle to survive.
The game, as well as the soundtrack, will be available on September 22nd. Prepare to drop….money.
