The Beatles: Rock Band: SingStar Out Now. [UPDATED]

For the serious gamer out there who really thinks the Rock Band microphones aren’t up to scratch for that three part harmony…

There had been rumors floating about all over the Internet for many moons with regards to a Singstar: The Beatles game coming out.  Well those rumors are both, incorrect….and somehow correct?

Sony have cunningly managed to convince Harmonix to wrap up the already released The Beatles: Rock Band in SingStar packaging, and thrown in two official SingStar mics with it.  This is all a bit weird really as SingStar and RockBand, are both in a sense, competitors.  I guess it’s that ‘if you can’t beat them, join them’ mentality albeit one on a higher different level.

It’s out later this month they say, although one commenter on Kotaku has stated that it’s out already in his native Germany. But seriously, in my opinion if you have Rock Band microphones then there is no point in getting this as no other instruments are included with this.  Confused much?  I am.  Perhaps Luke Plunkett was right when he said it’s probably aimed at those people who likely feel a bit silly waving plastic instruments about.  People like my dad.  Old folk.

What’s next?  The Beatles: Lips?  Because that doesn’t sound wrong.
