Shadow Of The Colossus Gets Japanese Re-Release

How many of you bought God of War Collection on PS3?  Quite a few I’d imagine….Well, talk has been gathering for a while now that Sony would be releasing more classic titles on PlayStation 3 in the future with the HD upgrade but will Shadow of the Colossus be one of those titles?

Unfortunately not.  It seems that Team ICO’s seminal classic, via Team ICO Gamers, is destined only for re-release on PlayStation 2 under the “PlayStation 2 the Best” label on February 4th.  It seems that our hopes and dreams for a HD upgrade of this beautiful title are on hold although, at ¥1,780 ($19.88) it seems a tad expensive for just a reprint…so maybe there’s more to this story than we are currently aware.
