Final Fantasy VIII Inbound to North American PSN
Sharpen your gunblades. Examiner has reported that Final Fantasy VIII is “coming soon” to the North American PlayStation Network.
This news should come as no surpise to some; the title has been available for the Japanese PSN for some time, with SCEE announcing the title for its region just a month afterword. As the Examiner noted and PS3 Attitude reported, the title has been delayed release from the European store, with the PSN Store Team’s Mike Kebby citing issues during the QA process as the culrpit.
However, this delay was only exclusive for our PAL friends (sorry, guys). Sony has recently listed the title under the “Coming Soon” portion of their semi-frequent newsletter.
The newsletter in its entirety can be viewed here. Exactly when the title will drop remains unclear, but it’s safe to assume it will hit before the new year. We’ll update if and when we get a solid date.
