Mass Effect 2 Character Kasumi Confirmed By Bioware *UPDATED*
On Friday we here at OLC discussed Mass Effect 2, specifically the DLC mercenary Zaeed and whether or not he was originally content cut in order to offer value for money (read: free) DLC.
Something else I briefly mentioned was that the list included another name, one whom is still unannounced, and it seems that there may be some legitimacy to OneLastContinues claim that Bioware have another human squad member, named Kasumi, ready to be unleashed in another DLC expansion.
A thread over on Biowares official Mass Effect 2 forum points towards the positive as a thread called “Kasumi -- New DLC Character? Possibly with picture proof,” where Bioware moderator Christina Norman locked the thread after posting the message:
“spoiler (whether this is true or false).”
Seriously, when was the last time anything labeled false a spoiler? If anything it was a case of ignoring the thread, or calling it false outright. When Bioware, and by extension EA, have anything further to add to this developing story we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
*Update* Apparently some time during the night (I’m U.K based by the way) the team running the Bioware feed during last nights NFC Championship mentioned that more information will be coming eventually if one of the more prominent members of the Bioware forums is to be believed.
Well just now in the Live Chat the guy with Chris said that info on Kasumi will be revealed at a later date.

Couldn’t Kasumi be that other Asari you get, if you follow Samara’s sidequest?

Kasumi is, according to the existing in-game references, a human thief. There’s a news report regarding her theft of rare art.
Why another human? Seriously, 3 humans in the default squad + Shepard. Then Zaeed and now this?
I don’t see too much of a problem with more humans. I mean it is Cerberus.

no, the asari that you can pick up during Samara’s mission is Morinth, her daughter. She would replace Samara if you chose the renegade path and Shepherd would be the only crew member who knows the difference. should you mate with her, she will kill you and the game will end
Shes resembles Maaya Sakamoto a bit, and is presumably of Asian descent. Cool with me :P
@Bob – No. You need to actually play Samara’s side quest. You get her daughter, Morinth.
maby shes like the dragon armor, an unlockable/donloadable after you purchase their new theif game (once released of corse), anyone consider that as her apperance is similar?
so i know theres gonna be 1 more squad member because on the crew deck where thane and samara are there is a door which looks like it opens but it doesnt but one would assume theres a room behind the door and its not just a wall? right
oh and by the way i doubt this chick is gonna look like that alls you have to do is look close to see its tali but with a different face i bet thats not what she looks like i think the image is fake

shes whereing the exact same thing as tali but with a different face and i doubt they would have another hooded chick its alittle repetitive as for that video null it says its been taken down by EA wish i had seen it earlier i hope kasumi is an interactive character unlike zaheed who you can never talk to

What’s wrong with more humans? I mean we already have a salarian turian quarian korgan and asari. What do you want the Biotic volus god? The guy that can’t even hurt anybody with a throw? or do you want a hanar or an elcor. I mean maybe batarian but shepard personally fought those guys on more then one occasion and the batarians in general hate humans because of the colony and the 4 eyes thing.
1. Quarians can’t live without their suit in a contaminated environment, also she clearly has human body structure, look at her legs
2. Bioware/EA wouldnt have released voice yet but the image could definitely be real plus after u do her loyalty mission u can change the outfit so itll look less like tali.
3. I dont think bioware will spend the time to give her and shepard unique dialog exchange so this is me just assumeing that she will be like Zaeed.
4 she looks like her face is masked, lik tht mite not be her real face or maybe she is a V.I. with semi-human attributes

i just found out that Kasumi is a real character that comes out in a new expansion pack for 360 in April 6th. She is in the new expansion called Kasumis Stolen Memory…. Guess how i figured it out..LOLOLOL!!!

If you go to the ME2 official website, you’ll see her name listed under squad. also look and see that they r planning to add 2 more characters to the squad, though it still reads as classified.
