Mass Effect 2 Kasumi Video Reappears Online
Following on from our earlier coverage regarding an upcoming Mass Effect 2 character called Kasumi, more proof has appeared that she exists! Apparently this player was able to place Kasumi into the suicide mission/endgame section of Mass Effect 2 by simply changing a few simple values in the saved game file. Interesting.
As noted previously she cannot be added to any party without experiencing an error message, but she appears to be present here somehow. For those in doubt fem-Shepard actually calls Kasumi by name within this clip.
Here’s some notes the maker of this video put up regarding Kasumi:
- She cannot be added to the party (prior to the suicide mission). If you attempt to do so, the game will remove her with a warning message but will still allow you to continue.
- Being a tech expert, she can successfully navigate the pipeline during the suicide run. She can also be used to escort the remaining Normandy crew back to the ship.
- It is possible for her to die during the suicide run if you do not upgrade the Normandy’s armor.
Many thanks to HarroSIN for providing OneLastContinue with the video. Once it goes offline, it’s gone for good and we won’t be discussing it again.

well the voice work is definitely legit, but i think her actual character model is either a place holder actually used by bioware or is a mod done by whoever made this video. either way it proves that kasumi is a significantly developed character and will probably release as dlc sooner or later.
At 2:59 “Kasumi” makes Geth sounds while working on getting the door closed.
So yeah… no.
I listened to 2:59 over and over and over. And at no point did she make a sound. Maybe legion made a sound. but I heard nothing. Asked 3 friends to listen to. All didn’t see or hear anything out of the normal either. So please try harder since bioware admits to it. There are multiply voice vids of her in the game if you console command it and they all give the same voice so it’s not some big conspiracy.
How the fuck can you still be skeptical if even fem Shepard talks to her?
That is my point exactly. You have to be in some serious denial. I honestly doubt bioware would do all this just to screw with players.
