Square Enix, OPM Tease New Action Game

File this one under “rumor” for now, but it seems Square Enix refuses to be outdone by Tri-Ace’s new game announcement.  In the pages of Official Playstation Magazine, it seems Square ALSO has a new game they’d like to announce.  Nothing is known about the title save for this solitary scan, hinting at a full reveal in next month’s issue.  Despite this, though, a few things can be surmised; the game is set in a techno-fantasy world (like most of Square’s games), stars a protagonist wielding a huge sword (again, like most of Square’s games), and is in fact an action game and not an RPG.  Aside from that, everything else is a mystery, even the platform.  However, considering the magazine doing the reveal, it would make sense that it’s at least on the PS3, with a 360 version likely to be in the works as well.  If it plays anything like Kingdom Hearts, or, perhaps more appropriately given the weaponry, Devil May Cry, I can certainly say my interest has been piqued already.
