Rumor: BlazBlue Decimates PS3s and 360s This July

2D fighter fans, rejoice!  It’s not been officially announced as of yet, but it would appear that PS3/360 2D fighter BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger is launching this July; and that’s not all!  Not only is the game coming to America surprisingly close to its Japanese release date (this June), it’s also getting its own personalized HORI fighting sticks for Playstation 3 and XBOX 360.  While most diehards likely bought a stick to go with Street Fighter IV, those who prefer Arc System Works’ fighters may want to go with this stick instead, as its button setup is better suited for BlazBlue.

Last, but certainly not least, is GameStop’s revelation of a special, GameStop-exclusive Limited Edition of the game itself; retailing at $59.99, it would appear this is the only version of the game GameStop is stocking at first, sort of a “first print” Limited Edition.  Not many details on the LE have been released, but special packaging, a soundtrack CD and “making of” featurettes seem like a dead giveaway, especially if no other retailers are getting this package.  When the details of the limited edition are confirmed, I’ll be sure to let you all know…but right now, I gotta go run out and toss down a reserve on this one.  Later!
