inFAMOUS Anti-Delayed; Strikes May 26th

Some days, it seems like the inFAMOUS news never ceases!  A new update on the Playstation Blog has confirmed that Sucker Punch’s superhero action epic will not be hitting in June after all; instead, it’ll strike US PS3s on May 26th!  And if that weren’t enough, we’ve also recieved finalized details on the game’s multiple preorder bonuses, as well as the availability of the PSN demo!

Like LittleBigPlanet before it, inFAMOUS has multiple preorder bonus items, depending on where you reserve the game; while the retailers have yet to be announced, the bonuses themselves have.

The first bonus is the Gigawatt Electric Blades, as we reported on last week.  These electric swords are immensely powerful, but drain Cole’s energy reserves much faster than the game’s other melee weapons and attacks.  These have already been sighted on GameStop’s web store, meaning it’s likely they’ll be available at GameStop retail outlets as well.

Second is a set of inFAMOUS-inspired costumes for Playstation Home, allowing you to dress your Home avatar up as a villainous Reaper.  If word is to be believed, these costumes, like Killzone 2 before them, will be available through Amazon.com preorders.

Last but certainly not least is premium access to the game’s downloadable demo; preorder customers will be able to download the demo on May 7th, almost a full month before the game releases.  The demo will hit the normal PSN for those not willing to preorder it on May 21st, a week before the game hits retail outlets.  Either way, everyone will be able to electrocute plenty of civilians far before the game actually launches.  I’ve already got it reserved myself, and hopefully you all do too!
