Capcom’s Gonna Take You For A Ride…in 6 Days

As sure as the sun rises, today’s dawn brings with it new ammunition for the rumors of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 making the jump to modern consoles; this time via a website posted by Capcom themselves! 

Despite a Capcom rep’s rather amusing form of saying “no comment” when asked about the oft-rumored port last week (“Really?  Someone’s making Marvel vs. Capcom 2?”), a new website has been built, featuring a countdown clock leading to next Monday, a large “2″ in the background, and nothing else.  Now, of course, this could all just be a red herring, and the countdown is leading to the release of a new Lost Planet 2 or Dead Rising 2 trailer…until you take the actual URL of the website into account – it’s an abbreviation for “Take You For a Ride”, the n0w-legendary character select screen music from MvC2.

As nothing official has been stated or confirmed yet, we’re going to have to file this under “rumor” for now, but seriously, folks, if anyone doesn’t think this is going to happen after this many hints, they’re delusional; or this could be the most epic troll ever perpetrated by a video game company.  Check back with us on Monday when the countdown timer expires!
