XBOX Originals Score a Double-Dose of Payne

Max Payne, that is.  With the recent announcement of Max Payne 3 for XBOX 360 and PS3, some might wonder what could have become of the original games.  Well, as of today, they’re both available on XBOX Live! 

This announcement came as a bit of a surprise to me, as I had no idea it was coming.  I was hopping onto my roommate’s 360 to watch the King of Kong after Kotaku’s recent post regarding Steve Wiebe’s new world record as, truth be told, I’ve never actually seen the movie.  However, while I was scrolling through the tabs on the user interface, a new icon appeared that revealed that both Max Payne titles are available for download on the Marketplace.  At 1200 Microsoft Points each, it’s a hefty price to pay, but if you haven’t played at least one game in the Payne series, you owe it to yourself to look into grabbing one of them.  Just try not to think of the movie while you play and you’re golden.
