Sony Japan Hates You THIS Much

Are you American or European?  If you are, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan hates you.  How much do they hate you?  They hate you enough to make a three-minute long video taunting you and everyone you know.  It’s no big secret that Sony Japan has had much greater success with distributing PS1 games over PSN.  I’ve already ranted on the subject before.  However, now, as rumors of an UMD-less PSP built around digital distribution continue to grow and prosper, it seems INCREASINGLY short-sighted of Sony America to avoid putting up any PS1 games.  It’s been almost five months now, Sony.  We’re not going to forget, and we’re not going to forgive being repeatedly ignored.

Here’s a list of some of the PS1 games that Japan has been gifted with, but SCEA has decided we Westerners, for whatever reason, don’t deserve.

  • Final Fantasy VII
  • Metal Gear Solid
  • Resident Evil (1, 2, and 3)
  • Bushido Blade (1 and 2)
  • Xenogears
  • SaGa Frontier (1 and 2)
  • Wild ARMs 2
  • Arc the Lad (all three)
  • Einhander
  • Ehrgeiz
  • Alundra
  • Front Mission (1, 2, 3, and Alternative)
  • Guilty Gear
  • Metal Slug (and Metal Slug X)

Starting to get the picture yet?  SCEA, if you’re reading this, enough with the ignorance.  You know gamers want PS1 games, and you know how to get them.  If you expect a digital distribution-based PSP to succeed, you’d better get your act together in terms of putting up content for people to buy on the damn thing first.  I’m going to go back to my fevered waiting for a new PS1 game to be released; I don’t expect one, but at least this week there’s the Marvel vs. Capcom 2 demo to comfort us all.

God that is so freaking annoying. SCEE is worse though… the organization of the store seems to always be one step behind the US one… but the simple fact that so many games that the US store gets being missing in the European ones adds to the frustration. One game I’ve been wanting to play for ages is Castlevania: Symphony of the Night… which is still missing in Europe… going to buy a few US PSN cards in June when I go to New York -.-

well here in America and there in Europe, we have a huge group of whiners who whine about anything at any time, i guess SCEA thought its a waste of time since they will whine again about something else
