Duke Nuked Forever?
Word reaches the internet via way of Shacknews that developer 3D Realms has, or by the end of the week, will have closed up shop. Forever. How does this affect the Duke?
Not very much it seems, more an inconvenience as “Deep Silver and Apogee Software are not affected by the situation at 3D Realms,” a representative for the companies has told Shacknews earlier today. “Development on the Duke Nukem Trilogy is continuing as planned.“ Take that as meaning Duke Nukem Forever may have been shipped over to another studio could likely see the light of day at some point. Maybe. Either way, the aforementioned handheld trilogy is still due for release as mentioned by the above companies. Maybe….could be forever though before it sees the light of day.

Maybe the project should just be scrapped for good if 3D realms is no longer making it. They DID make the original game, right? So it won’t be the same without them making it.
@Valnen – plenty of titles switch developers though and come through all the better for it. Tomb Raider for one. Metroid Prime for two
