goggiveawaypost

Hey readers, how do you like your games? Do you like them classic with a dash of ‘free’ thrown in for good measure? You do? Awesome, because we have some games up for grabs courtesy of the folk over at Good Old Games!

The rules of the contest are easy. Every week we will set you guys a challenge to complete. And simply put, the best entry will win the game of their choice!

Here’s what you need to do:

  • Go to the GoG website and choose the game you want to win.
  • Do what the weekly contest asks of you.
  • Write down your name, what game you are looking to win and attach your entry.
  • Email it to us at: olccompetitionATgmailDOTcom with the subject header ‘GoG Competition’.

For this weeks contest we want you to write a haiku based around the game you want to win. What’s a haiku you say? A Japanese lyric verse form having three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables. Okay, here’s an example.

Passive aggression!
She’s in ANOTHER castle?!
Still, her friend thanked me.

In the words of Brian Crecente of Kotaku, we want you ‘to rock the 5-7-5 format’. The most important thing however is to keep it fun, and keep it clean!

The contest starts today, that’s Tuesday 12th May, and closes this Sunday 17th May at 23:59 Pacific Standard Time.

No double entries folks, anyone found doing so shall be disqualified, banned, sectioned and fed to Simon.

Good luck!

it always bothers me when websites don’t make use of their domain for email. it sets off a red flag for me.

    @Just Saying
I’m working on that. Limited domain e-mail space is a problem for us at the moment, with as many writers as we have. Believe me, it’s nothing sinister.

  4. @Just Saying – its definitely nothing sinister. I get enough PR mail during the day that I really dont want to have to filter this lol.

Its also easier for other editors to check it out rather than needing access to my personal mail.
