BlazBlue Shows Off Its Characters, Chest

Arc System Works’ BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger is hitting the PS3 and 360 next week; in order to get the hype train rolling, the developer has bestowed IGN with some short vignettes introducing several key members of the cast.  These videos offer just a short glimpse at the game’s 12-character cast, showing off their combos, special moves, super moves, as well as the first official video featuring the console-exclusive English voice options and Astral Heat finishing attacks.  The four characters shown off at this point in time are Ragna the Bloodedge, Jin Kisaragi, Noel Vermillion, and Litchi Faye Ling.  And yes, you heard right, they call her “the boobie lady”.  It looks like Mai Shiranui’s got a bit of a rival on her hands.

As you can see, the game is coming along quite nicely; featuring full HD graphics and animation, a finely balanced cast of characters, and a host of improvements over the hit arcade version, BlazBlue is a welcome addition to any 2D fighter fan’s library.  I’ll be playing on PSN all week next week, so keep an eye out for me and you might just find a decent challenge.
