Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 Officially Delayed

As we speculated earlier in the week, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 has officially been confirmed as delayed until ‘late July’.

Capcom’s legendary 3v3 tag team fighter will definitely not be seeing a release for the XBLA and PSN come this June 29th. This news has since been confirmed by their official Twitter page.

MvC2 is not actually coming out on June 29, sorry guys. Not sure where that rumor came from, but it’s going to be closer to the end of July.

While they can’t, we can tell you that the original rumor came from Marvel’s Q1 financial report, which suspiciously pinned it on the same date as the nine year anniversary of the North American Dreamcast release.

I’ve been waiting for this re-release since it was rumored months ago. While it’s a shame that it has been delayed, I’d like to see this title done right, versus done right now. In the meantime, Capcom’s loss is Arc System Works gain, as rival 2d fighter BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, is releasing this Tuesday with a little less competition to go up against.
