Word reaches us here, far from the shores of the Empire that FC Barcelona have decided to enhance their ’special relationship’ with the online sports MMO, Empire of Sports. But what exactly does that entail?

Well if I’m to be honest the announcement so far really only sees the the opening of the VIP room in the virtual Barça Club house, where subscribers can enjoy all sorts of exclusives benefits. Things such as a complete Barça strip for their avatar, reserved missions, events and competition; you know – benefits that the average AC Milan supporter is probably shaking their head at right about now but I’m sure the Empire will someday get around to absorbing you into its collective.
