Rumor: And Your New World Of Warcraft Races are…?
World of Warcraft expansion The Burning Crusade gave us the Blood Elves and Draenei as new additions to the original eight races. Wrath of the Lich King, however, has strangely left us absent in the new race department. However…

MMO-Champion, one of the foremost World of Warcraft news blogs out there (they’re still on my favorites bar after half a year removed from the addiction) are reporting that the next new races for WoW are the Goblins and the Worgen. For those uninitiated, the Goblins are those little long nosed green things that blew up real good in the original WarCraft, and the Worgen are a savage, werewolf-like race from another dimension. No details on which side, Horde or Alliance, is drafting up who, but my money is on the Worgen to the Horde and Goblins to the Alliance. The Horde already have their own green hulking race leading the show after all…although the goblins aren’t exactly “hulking”.
Of course, take this news with a grain of salt. MMO-Champion is reporting this through the fact that they are from new Halloween masks set to appear in game for the yearly Brewfest event in October. Hardly an official statement from Blizzard. However, MMO-Champion has a superb track record under their belt, so I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt on this one until we hear otherwise.

We know you still play, Feeney.
With Northrend and all, I would have expected the Nerubians, Faceless ones or those Tuskarr.
Nagas, Satyr, and the ability to defect to the lich king would have been nice…
