Modern Warfare 2: AC-130 Gunships
Infinity Ward just managed to blow my mind again, with the deliverance of a new video showing incentive for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer portion.
Released today is a video demonstrating a new feature for Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer -- customisable killstreaks. In Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare when you got a certain number of kills in a row, you were rewarded with the ability to use an UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle), airstrike, or call in a helicopter. In the sequel, however, you’ll be able to choose what rewards you want for your killstreaks. The video below demonstrates one of the new killstreak options, the AC-130 gunship. This vehicle was first seen Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare when you spent a level playing the gunner of one of these powerhouses, raining terror on the ground below.
Now I have to admit that I had a really strong feeling that they were going to change what rewards you got for killstreaks, but this is a step further than my expectation. I did not expect that Infinity Ward would allow the player to choose what killstreak rewards they got.
On another note, take a look at the game play; Modern Warfare 2 looks absolutely stunning. I’m hoping great things from you, Infinity Ward.
