Demon's Souls

Over one year ago Phil Caron reviewed an imported version of Demons Souls.  Fifteen months later I’m finally going to be able to play it for myself.  Thank goodness for Namco-Bandai, that’s what I say. Read more

The Forgotten Sands Unleashed With A New Trailer & Collectors Edition

The latest trailer for Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands has hit and thus awakened the series fan inside of me that’s laid dormant since the release of the Epilogue to 2008′s Prince of Persia last year.

As you can see there’s an obvious increase in quality over the previous titles in the Sands of Time series which leads me to one area where there seems to be something monstrous happening.  That face.  Seriously, I’ve seen ugly blokes before here on the streets of England but this guy scares the absolute pants out of me.

What looks awesome however is the usage of those oft-mentioned elemental powers and to be honest, as a self-confessed Prince of Persia fangirl, I can’t wait to get my hands on the collectors edition of this game.  Collectors Edition?  Is that what I heard you say?  Well for those who were a little miffed that this series never gets the attention of it’s younger brother here’s what you get for just a little more than usual!

A quality steelbook containing Prince of Persia : The Forgotten Sands!

A Bonus DVD including:

  • the exclusive original soundtrack of the game
  • a unique image gallery as well as game trailers
  • exclusive wallpapers and a screensaver

  • Three lithographs based on concept arts used to create the universe of the game

For the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions only: A code allowing players to download and play Prince of Persia Classic on XBL or on PSN for free.

For the PC version only: A code allowing players to download and play Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time full game for free.

Exclusive in-game content:
Survival Challenge Mode :
Endure successive waves of relentless enemies as your life gauge decreases over time. You need to defeat enemies to replenish your health and survive this trial. Can you survive the powerful Sand Army assault? With no time limit and an ever increasing number of enemies each wave, defeat the army or die trying. If you survive the onslaught, you may have what it takes to become a real Prince of Persia…

Sand Wraith Skin : Play as the Sand Wraith from Prince of Persia Warrior Within. In the 2004 game, the Mask of the Wraith gave the Prince the power to coexist in the same timeline as his former self. Now, use this impressive dark look to play through The Forgotten Sands.

Malik Skin : Play in the shining armor of the Prince’s brother, Malik who’s responsible for unleashing the Sand Army you’re fighting. Play with style in Malik’s golden garb in this dangerous Arabian Nights setting.

It’s coming next month and I can’t wait.  Can you?

Rumor: Are Epic Games Getting Into Bed With Sony Japan?

According to the Internet, and might I add that the Internet is never wrong, Sony Computer Entertainment plans on making an announcment at E3 that will be huge.  Off the scale you might say.  In other news, little over two weeks from now, April 15, Epic Games will hold a press conference to announce the formation of Epic Games Japan.  My first thoughts on that news included the two words “why” and “bother.” Read more

Mass Effect 2 Kasumi Video Reappears Online

Following on from our earlier coverage regarding an upcoming Mass Effect 2 character called Kasumi, more proof has appeared that she exists!  Apparently this player was able to place Kasumi into the suicide mission/endgame section of Mass Effect 2 by simply changing a few simple values in the saved game file.  Interesting.
